GENERAL MANAGER – LOGISTICS OPERATIONS (REF. MSC115)
A Hong Kong listed business conglomerate with diversified trading interests and broad based Logistics operations in Asia and North America including full services and 3PL.
 

THE POSITION:

  • Title: General Manager – Logistics Operations (variable locations)
  • Reports to Managing Director
  • Direct reports to all key operational functions

 

OBJECTIVES:

  • To manage and develop one or more of the Group’s logistics hubs and build a sustainable, profitable and fast-growing business
  • The transformation of the Group’s Logistics to be a world class 3PL player in the region

 

KEY CHALLENGES:

  • To equip the organization with new or elevated capabilities to support implementation of the expanded service menu
  • To collaborate with HQ and other logistics hubs to shape the culture that strives for high standards of compliance of SOP in safety, quality service and customer satisfaction
  • To manage sales and profit expectations

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A university degree preferably in logistics operations, supply chain management and/or business related disciplines
  • Over 15 years of commercial/operational experience with min. 3 years in a senior role responsible for heading Customer Development, Supply Chain Solution Centre, Contract Management, Logistics Centre Operations, VAS Services, Transportation Operations and/or Transformational Logistics Projects
  • Experience in FMCG especially Food (preferably with cold chain and food packing/repacking license)
  • Hands on logistics operational experience with an intimate knowledge of the markets in China
  • A track record of increased responsibility and achievement in general management
  • Fluency in English and Putonghua
