GM – GROUP LOGISTICS BUSINESS (REF. MSC114)
A Hong Kong listed business conglomerate with diversified trading interests and broad based Logistics operations in Asia and North America including full services and 3PL.
THE POSITION:
- Title: General Manager – Group Logistics Business based in Hong Kong with China involvement
- Reports to Managing Director
- Direct reports to all key commercial functions
OBJECTIVES:
- To drive the strategic priorities and develop a sustainable, profitable and fast-growing business
- To drive the transformation to a world class 3PL player in the region and establish an image of a well respected and professional service provider in Greater China
KEY CHALLENGES:
- To bring in innovative solutions to support expansion of the service menu
- To shape a culture that strives for high standards of compliance with SOP in safety, quality service and customer satisfaction
- To expand 3PL customer base
- To identify and recommend strategic investment opportunities
- To manage sales and profit expectations
REQUIREMENTS:
- A university degree preferably in logistics operations, supply chain management and/or business related disciplines
- Over 15 years of relevant commercial/operational experience with min. 5 years in a senior role
- Experience in FMCG especially Food (preferably with cold chain and food packing/repacking license)
- Hands on experience with an intimate knowledge of the markets in China
- Have demonstrated business acumen, flair and imagination in nourishing and developing a fast growing business
- Full accountability for a sizeable company or business units and a record of achieving sustained growth in revenues and profits
- Fluency in English and Putonghua
